Acting Portfolio – Lisa

Here are a few pics of Lisa who came to me for some photos for her acting portfolio. We had a lot of fun with the studio shots using the props!

Picnic at Hanging Rock

This photo shoot was inspired by the old movie ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’. I wanted to play with movement and drama whilst giving my models some lovely natural portraits to treasure.

Tess

The final 50s shoot and is modeled by Tess, daughter of the very talented Catherine from Embellish Atelier (www.embellish-hats.com). Her gorgeous dresses were original fifties pieces from her Grandmother with the hats being supplied by her mum of course. Soft, romantic and filmic styling was what I was looking to achieve for this last set […]

50s Pinups

The post war era of the Fifties was a great mix of glamorous couture and film idols to rockabilly and pinup girls and it is these last two groups that I drew inspiration from with these images. I love the expressions of individually and hint of sexiness that was beginning to emerge at that time. […]

More 50s Revisited Pics

My thanks go to Catherine from Embellish Atelier (www.embellish-hats.com) who kindly lent me a number of her beautifully handcrafted couture hats that suited the 50s theme. My model in this shoot is Jenna and the hair and makeup was done by Roxie Gray.

Alice In Wonderland

I am always looking for new sources of inspiration for my next personal project and that inspiration comes from many different things from paintings to books, movies to nature. These shots were loosely inspired by the Alice In Wonderland story. The most difficult part often, as with most things, is just getting started but as […]

ONE80TC city shoot

Here are some more promo shots for ONE80TC highlighting the plight of drug and alcohol on young men. Once again, if you would like to help the cause in some way go to www.one80tc.org for more info.

ONE80TC

One80tc is an initiative of Teen Challenge NSW – a drug and alcohol residential rehab for young men with life controlling issues and I had the wonderful opportunity of producing some promotional images for them. If you would like to know more about One80tc or perhaps become a sponsor, check out their website: www.one80tc.org

Pet Portraits – Alex & Lola

I had the great opportunity of photographing Alex and her beautiful Dalmatian Lola recently and even though they say never work with children or animals, we had a great afternoon of fun following a bounding Lola around the park on what turned out to be a beautiful autumn day. Pet photography is all the rage […]

Aerialize Acrobat ‘Troupe’ Exhibition Shoot

I had a great time on saturday photographing 2 amazing aerial acrobats for an up and coming exhibition called ‘Troupe’. (Watch this space for details). The girls performed wonderfully in the hot sticky weather and whilst a lot of fun was had, we were all shattered by the end of the day! Thanks Ange and […]

Cox Family

I got to tag along on this Father and son day out with this great family.

Williams Family

The Williams family has great character and individuality and we had lots of fun in this inner city alley way creating some unique images for them.

Art Imitating Art

I was inspired to create some portraits based on works of the Masters. The looks and personality of my sitter dictate which painting style they will be photographed in, it is a collaborative process. This is an ongoing project that will continue to grow as willing subjects are found.

Vanstrattan Family

I had a fantastic afternoon at Terrigal beach on the NSW Central Coast photographing the Vanstrattan family. (Terrigal is such a great location!) It wasn’t easy for the parents to convince their adult kids to get together to take photos but all agreed when it was all over that it had been fun. The persistence […]

Woods Family

Musician – Matt Johnson

Some promo shots for musician Matt Johnson.

Rostirolla Family – Award Winning Image

The Rostirolla family are unique and a standard portrait just wasn’t going to suffice. I love this quirky photo of them here, it won a silver at the AIPP National Awards 2009 in the portrait category. (AIPP-Australian Institute of Professional Photography)
