Claire + Bee had a beautiful, intimate wedding in Palm Beach on Sydney’s northern beaches.
2012 will be long remembered as the year that Sydney had no summer, thankfully though, the weather on this day turned out to be perfect despite yet another week of wet Sydney weather. Here are some of their special wedding memories.

The weather had been shocking for weeks with torrential rain and floods in Sydney so it wasn’t looking good for this wedding but on the day it cleared up and all went ahead under a dry sky.
Amber and Tom are a fun couple with a young family who somehow managed to arrange a fantastic wedding in a short time frame with little kids underfoot.
A feat they pulled off with panache! This was a wedding with lots of laughter, joy and dancing and the use of the Photo Booth gave their guest plenty to laugh about. (click here for their Photo Booth antics)
The ceremony was held in the Secret Gardens in Lavender Bay and the reception at Aqua Dining next to Luna Park.

ONE80TC Golf Day 2012

This is the second Golf Day I have photographed for ONE80TC and once again I had a great day out in the fresh air, zooming around in a buggy photographing the day as it unfolded.

As a charity, ONE80TC relies on the income generated by event days such as this to bring in much needed cash to support the program. ONE80TC is a not‐for profit non-government organisation whose purpose for over 35 years has been to provide effective treatment and rehabilitation services through a residential facility to young men (aged 18 – 35) with life controlling issues. Kitchen Teas/Bridal Showers are not just an opportunity to fill the cupboards with much needed wooden spoons and graters, they are a time for the girls to get together and celebrate the impending married life of one of their own.
Christina and her friends spent a great afternoon at this vintage inspired gathering doing what girls do best – food and fun! As always, the photo booth was a hit!

The Chair Project – Holder Family

There are no tricks or fancy Photoshop work here, just a camera on a tripod, an old chair and some willing subjects. I love the flow and variety of faces that took time out to sit on ‘The Chair’ for this session, in fact, they are all very special to me because this lot is my Family and I love each and every one of them. They are a rowdy bunch of everyday Aussies that love and support each other simply because they are family. It is the blood that flows through our veins that binds us together and keeps us coming back year after year for our family get togethers at Christmas.

Organically over the last 70 years the family has grown from 8 siblings to over 100 and somehow we have managed to stay together; and mostly remember all the names. Family grounds you, in many ways it defines your position in the grand scheme of things. We know we belong to something bigger than ourselves, a living breathing mixed up bunch of individuals that somehow make a whole.

My only disappointment is that a few faces are missing from this collection but know that we are thinking of you just the same.

Travel – New Zealand

The weeks leading up to the 26th November 2011 were wet and cold and the morning of the 26th was no different so my bride Chloe had resigned herself for a wet wedding day and I had packed my wet weather gear and the umbrellas. She took it with good grace and focused with excitement on the day ahead but thankfully, at 1:30pm, against all odds the sun came out! It turned out to be a great afternoon and the bride looked simply gorgeous, oh, and the groom scrubbed up alright too!

I love this shoot with the beautiful Olivia, loosely themed around the concept of Abandoned Dreams. We had lot of fun climbing the fence and sneaking in to shoot in this abandoned mansion where we were ceremoniously outed a short while later, thankfully, after we had got the shots!

I somehow missed putting it up on the blog earlier but as they say, better late than never….

Mother and Daughter Fun

I had a cancelled shoot over the weekend so Leisha and I had some fun together using the studio to outwork a few ideas we had been talking about for some time. It was a real joint effort. I even got to give my beautiful green chair another run.
